Flea Market [25 Mar 2007|11:12am]

ok, i haven't really seen anyone post about this so i figured i would.

since the old flea market on timberlake closed on a new one has opened up. granted it not as popular yet, but once people start knowing about it i'm sure it will get bigger. its on kemper street in the reallllly big white building. they have signs around it so u should be able so see it. its right up the street from the highway exits. they have booths and big rooms for rent. i know the booths are $10 i think, but im not sure how much the rooms are. right now they're only using one wing of the building but I'm sure sooner o later they will expand into the rest of the building.

so everyone should stop by on the next Saturday morning so this thing can grow.

Movies 10 [16 Oct 2006|03:06pm]

Does anyone know what four movies they're playing this year?
I'm trying to plan a trip to Busch Gardens for their halloween park adventure whatever, so I'd like to know what movies are playing so I can either see them, or pass because I already have them. :)

[10 Sep 2006|11:55pm]

ok, My bf and I are looking to rent sometime in November or December. He lives in NY right now and I live with my parents in Lynchburg. I've been looking at the langley properties and some of them seem too good to be true.

I was wondering if anyone lives in any of them or knows someone who lives there.

Also, what's the avg cost of your heat and electric bills?

Im used to paying up the ass for utilities from when I had my apartment in NY...so nothing's really gonna shock me I guess. But I'd like to figure out a budget.

Sooo...if anyone could help me out, I would be forever grateful :)

Review of World of Warcraft in this week's "The Burg" [29 Jun 2006|12:35pm]

I know there's some people that are members of this community and that play World of Warcraft. I thought you Lynchburg WoW players might be interested in knowing that "The Burg"'s game reviewer did a review on World of Warcraft this week. He gave it a 9 out of 10.

I'm really only plugging this because I was mentioned in the review (as "the paper's IT guy").

Puppies [08 Apr 2006|02:44pm]

Hey People! I don't post much, but then again, neither does anyone else. However, I thought I would put something out here. I'm not selling anything, so its not technically spam. My boyfriend's Eskimo Spitz/collie had 2 puppies about 3 months ago. Recently, his house caught on fire. Everyone is ok, and all the animals, so don't worry about that. The puppies, however, need a good home. I think the father is a purebred Spitz that lives nearby, but the mother is a mix although you can't tell by looking except for her jaws. Since there wouldn't be any papers for them, he doesn't feel it proper to charge for them. At this point, I feel comfortable saying that both pups are female. They're absolutely adorable, and they're being taken care of...but the people we've got taking care of them can't afford it really. So, I'm asking that if anyone is interested in one or both of these beautiful puppies, please let me know. I can bring them to you if you're not too far away, or we could meet halfway.

Rent My House! [26 Oct 2005|06:23pm]

Hello! We are currently renting a house off of Rivermont Avenue, right across from Randolph-Macon and the little strip of shops with Shad's and Trotters. The address is 430 Elmwood Ave. Some might remember when I previously asked about this house when we were originally looking to rent it.

Anyway, we just bought a house and need to get someone to rent our house in order to get out of the lease. The house is rented through Brownstone Properties and is a really cute house. The exterior needs some love (not that you have to worry about that) but the inside is great. Here are the details:

3 bedrooms
1.5 baths
HUGE fenced backyard (they allow ANY sized dog as long as you pay the pet deposit - there is no size restriction)
Basement with laundry connections (possible washer/dryer available)
Dining room
Breakfast nook in kitchen
HUGE living room

We pay $850/month, but it is likely the rent may rise to $900/month. It seems like a lot of money, but compared to many other houses we've seen for rent, plus knowing what rent prices are like outside of Lynchburg, it's a GREAT deal.

So if anyone is looking to rent a house, this house is in a GREAT location - we have walked to Shad's many times and the neighbors are wonderful. If you would like to see the inside, please comment with your email and we can make an appt. It's really a wonderful house whether it's for your family or your sharing it with friends.

edit: forgot to add that it's available at the end of November, but we can be negotiable.
